Join us in a celebration of a golden era where motoring and popular culture intersected to create a special magic. The Rand show will recreate the sights and sounds of the iconic Route 66, "America's Main Street" now a famous tourist destination with period diners, gas stations and repair shops, the iconic setting of the all-American road trip.
Bike enthusiasts will get a kick out of a selection of superbike classics from the 1980s, as well as modern classic Indian V-Twin bikes and classic cafe racers that will be on show. There'll also be hand-built ape-hangered choppers, and customised "bobbers", which are based on Harley Davidson frames, but which run big fat wheels and have no mudguards, pre-dating the chopper look.
Weekend visitors can enjoy the sight of build projects in progress with both a V8 engine rebuild and Cobra Kit Car build taking place within the motoring hall. Visitors to Route 66 can join in the fun by making their mark on the VW Kombi graffiti project in the hall.
